Who We Are

A Small School On A Very Large Lagoon.

We opened at PK 25 in 2012 with two instructors and six kites. The camp has grown since, but the ratio has not moved: three students per instructor on a beginner course, four on a coaching session. That is the whole method. Everything else — the flat water, the wind, the rescue boat — is Dakhla doing the work.

Our stretch of the lagoon is waist to chest deep for several hundred metres and the trade wind blows side-shore, along the beach rather than out to sea. You can put a kite down, stand up, sort yourself out and go again. Beginners who would need three weeks somewhere else are usually riding upwind here in six days.

  • IKO-certified instructors, insured and locally licensed
  • Radio helmets on every beginner lesson, rescue boat on the water
  • Fixed camp prices — kit, room, half board and transfers included
  • Open every day of the season, September through May

Where You Stay

Rooms On The Water's Edge

Camps include a bungalow at the school, fifty metres from where the kites go up, with half board — breakfast before the first session and dinner when the wind drops. Rooms are twin or double, en-suite, with hot water and Wi-Fi that works well enough for a video call.

Non-kiting partners are welcome at accommodation-only rates, and there is something running most days: the White Dune, the hot springs, the oyster farms, or the Imlili oasis out in the desert.
